How can I create a FREE SSRN Account?

Solution

To create a FREE SSRN account:

  1. Go to the SSRN Homepage

  2. Click on "Create Account"

  3. Enter your email and click on "Join SSRN"

  4. Enter First name in "Given Name" field

  5. Enter Last name in "Family Name" field

  6. Enter Password and Re-type password

Passwords must be 5-200 characters in length.

Passwords can contain:

• Uppercase letters: A-Z

• Lowercase letters: a-z

• Numbers: 0-9

• Symbols:  !@$ \ ^*()_-+=?./

NOTE: do not use these symbols when creating a password: # % &   

 

Click on "Create Account"

You are now at the SSRN User HQ page. From here, you can change and manage your account.

You can access the following tabs by clicking on the silhouette with your initials and using the drop-down menu or use the left-hand navigation.

To change your personal information (name and primary SSRN contact email), click "My Account"
To add or change your professional affiliation and/or title, click "Affiliations"
To manage your subscriptions, click "Subscriptions"
The My Library page contains three "tabs": "MyFavorites""Download History" and "Job and Announcements".
To search for new abstracts in the SSRN eLibrary, click "Search eLibrary"

 

NOTE: You do not need to create a new account if you have changed institutions or email addresses. In this case, you can update your account by signing in and clicking Affiliations or My Account.

 

If you believe you may have multiple SSRN accounts, please let us know by submitting a support ticket at Support@ssrn.com.

You will not be able to create multiple accounts with the same email address. If the system is not allowing you to create a new account with your email, it is likely you or someone else already created an account for you using that email address. Request a password reset to regain access to your account.
