JEL Codes on SSRN

Solution

"JEL" stands for Journal of Economic Literature, which is the publication JEL codes were originally designed to be used in. You may have noticed there is a JEL codes field under the Abstract section of the SSRN submission form. This field is optional.

If your paper is relevant to a field of study that has a JEL code, type it in this section.

You can also view SSRN papers that have already been classified using JEL Codes by clicking the link for each code - another way to learn more about which codes might be best for your paper.
