This email is already being used.

Are you trying to create an SSRN account?

If you are seeing this message when attempting to create an account on SSRN this message indicates that your email is already associated with an account. Try logging into your account. If you do not remember your password you can send a password reset link to your email. If you do not receive the reset password link or you receive the message that your account has been blocked due to too many wrong attempts at logging in please submit a Ticket, and someone from the Customer Support team would be happy to help you access your account. Please remember to provide all information that might be relevant, Name, email(s) used on your account and affiliations you might have had.

Are you trying to add a new email to your Account?

If you see this message when attempting to add an email address to your own account, check that the email is not already added to your account by logging in and clicking on "Personal Info." You can view all email addresses on your account by clicking on "Change my email addresses" then "Edit/Add Email(s)" button.

If the email is not there, you may have a duplicate account. If you need further assistance, submit a Ticket, and the Support Team will gladly assist. Provide as much distinguishing information as possible that could be associated with other SSRN accounts, all possible names that could have been associated with your account(s) and any emails that you might have used in the past. Are you trying to add a co-author to SSRN?

If you see this message when attempting to create an account for another author, they most likely already have an SSRN account (or have duplicate accounts). If you are unable to find their account and need to add them to a submission or update their information, please have them submit a Ticket, and the Support Team will gladly assist. You are free to submit a ticket on their behalf and let our Support team know that you are trying to add an author to your submission and they are not searchable on the submission form. When creating a ticket on behalf of a co-author please provide their name, email, and affiliation, so we can make sure their accounts are updated with all of the current information.

If you need further assistance, submit a Ticket, and the Support Team will gladly assist.
