Duplicate Accounts


Multiple accounts are sometimes accidentally created for or by authors on SSRN. This can cause confusion for the author and readers, as well as sign-in problems for the account holder.

You might have multiple SSRN accounts if...

  • You find two different author pages for yourself
  • Your name or affiliation appears differently on different SSRN pages
  • Your name appears on the public abstract page for a paper you wrote, but that paper does not appear on your My Papers page
  • You often have trouble signing in or are asked to validate your identity
  • You successfully sign in with multiple user IDs or passwords
  • You get an error message saying "This email is already being used" when you try to add one of your email addresses to an existing account

If you believe you have multiple SSRN accounts, write to and request that we consolidate the accounts. Please also let us know which email address should be set as your primary contact address.

Providing as much of the following information as possible that could be associated with your SSRN account(s) will help us resolve the problem more quickly:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Affiliations (current or past)
  • Account numbers
  • Paper titles/abstract IDS
