What do I need to do to submit a Health Science Case Report?

Solution

Some content types, such as Health Science Case Reports, have additional requirements such as evidence that patient confidentiality, patient consent, and conflict of interest and/or funding concerns have been addressed.

Submitting a Health Science Case Report is very similar to a regular submission on SSRN with the exception of the reference area. In the references section of the SSRN Submission Form you will see there is a question "Is this paper a health science case report?"

When you select "Yes" to this question, you will see this screen. To view the health science case report checklist which provides information to include when writing a health science case report click here.

To submit your health science case report via SSRN you must confirm the following:

  1. Check the box next to "Patient consent requirements have been met" if you have reviewed the "Guidelines on patient consent" and can confirm that the requirements are met
  2. Check the box next to "All patient information has been de-identified" if you can confirm that all the patient information has been in fact de-identified.
  3. Check the box next to "I confirm the acknowledgment section includes a conflict of interest declaration and/or funding support information, if applicable"

For more information about these requirements click on the "?" location after each statement.

When you have completed this section your paper will be automatically classified into the Health Science Case Report Research Network on SSRN.

During the SSRN review process, your submission will be checked for case report appropriateness before being available for public viewing and ejournal distribution.
