What is a First Look "Publication Status" ?


Papers on SSRN First Look can be at many different stages of the publication cycle. The ‘Publication Status’ of a paper indicates where it is within the publication cycle. Papers that are ‘Submitted’ are papers that have been submitted to a journal for publication and have not undergone journal review. Papers ‘Under Review’ are undergoing a journal’s peer-review process. 


Who sets the Publication Status? 

The Publication Status is set by the journal or publisher who has submitted the paper on your behalf.
